The Toolbar features will appear in different forms throughout the Floor upload and Space setup process in qbiq 2.0.
They will also appear in the Space Info step when submitting a new Project (Independent or Property).
Partial Floor:
This allows you to determine which part of the floor will be planned by qbiq. Selecting the Partial Floor button will turn your mouse cursor into a pencil. Click over your floor plan preview to delineate the area that will be planned.
It is essential to use this tool as qbiq’s system will not differentiate between hatches or crossed-out areas in your original floor plans. If a partial area is not selected, qbiq will automatically plan the entire floor area.
Outdoor Space:
Use this tool to designate the property's outdoor surroundings – terraces, gardens, and public areas. Select the Outdoor tool and the trees icon will follow your mouse cursor for easy placement wherever necessary.
Note: If you used the Partial Floor button and drew a polygon to mark the planable area, it shouldn’t include the Outdoor Space.
IT Room:
Place this icon wherever you already have an IT room or where you want to station it. Make sure it stands in line with the property’s regulations.
Pantry:
Place this icon wherever you have an existing kitchen that should be kept or where you want the new pantry to be located. Ensure it meets the property’s regulations, as it requires a connection to plumbing.
WC:
You may use this tool to mark any existing WCs that should be kept. You can also use it to mark where new facilities should be placed (this will only apply when WCs are added to a Detailed Program).
Interior Stairs:
If your floor plan contains stairs outside of the core area, use this tool to indicate they should be kept.
Please note that qbiq doesn’t calculate or plan new stairs for multi-floor projects.
Main Entrance:
Place this icon wherever the main entrance should be located. Although using the Main Entrance tool is not mandatory, marking it is significant, as some properties offer several entries to each floor. Also, the main entrance will dictate the reception’s location.
Keep Room:
This tool allows you to mark a room you want to preserve. Using this tool will ensure qbiq’s system will keep all the existing walls for that room, however, any existing furniture or function in the marked rooms will be disregarded.
Keep All Interior Walls:
Tick the box to keep all the interior walls existing in the floor plan. Use this feature if the property’s regulations do not approve of internal structural changes or if the internal divisions meet your client’s needs.
If this box is not checked, qbiq’s system will delete any non-structural elements.
Keeping the interior walls does not mean qbiq’s system will not add new interior walls or modify the floor plan.
