Creating a new floor is an essential step for Property Marketing users, forming the foundation for managing multiple projects across a property.

Why do you need to create floors for each property?
Assigning floors to a property ensures streamlined management of floor plans over time. For instance:
You will design multiple floor plans for the same floor for new tenants.
A property could host multiple tenants on a single floor.
A single tenant might lease multiple floors for their business.
By creating floors, marking their dimensions, and submitting CAD files, you can simplify the process of managing layouts and ensure the accuracy of your projects.
How to Create a New Floor
Once you finish creating a new property, you will reach this step. At this stage, you'll set up your floors by defining their numbers and details within the property. This includes uploading the floor plan files to establish the foundation for space test-fit planning submissions.
In your Property, find the Floors option, the second option in the left menu bar, and click the blue + New Floor button.
Enter the following details:
Floor Info: On the left side of the screen, you are required to add:
Floor Number: Add the floor number for a single floor. You can input multiple floors at once by providing their values (e.g., 1-5, 6, 7), and the system will create the floor for each value.
Stated Floor Area: Specify the floor’s area measurement.
Property Specs: On the right-hand side of your screen, you are required to add:
Gross Ceiling Height: Provide the gross ceiling height.
Facade Style: Select the facade style that best matches your windows.
Tap the Next button on the right.
Upload a floor plan file. We recommend using a vector CAD file, but you can also upload a PDF or an image file (e.g., JPEG or PNG).
Once the file is uploaded, use the Floor Area pencil tool to single out the space to plan.
Add exterior view images according to our guidelines. You can upload authentic photos or use one or more of the default options—place sides A to D on all four sides of the building. You only need to upload these images once, as they will serve you in future floor plans.
Tap the Create button on the right to complete the Floor stage.
Notes:
When creating multiple floors, qbiq will ask you to confirm each floor's file and Floor Area. If you want different files or floor areas for each floor, add them separately with the relevant files and segmented floor areas.
Floors cannot be edited once they are set up. Only a Super Manager can delete them, as this action will also remove all associated Spaces, rendering all related projects inactive (you won't be able to submit redlines or duplicate them).
Depending on the file type of your floor plans, the creation process will take 24–72 hours.
Uploading multiple floor plans simultaneously may extend the creation process.
Once our system processes your floor plans, you will receive an email notification, and you can begin creating Spaces.
