What is a Project?
A Project is the foundation of your floor plan design process. It is where you select your preferred program type and provide the details needed to create layouts and visualizations.
How to Create a New Project?
The process of starting a new project depends on whether you are a Property Marketing Client User or an Independent Project User:
Property Marketing Client User - Projects are created for pre-defined Spaces within a Property. You have two ways to create a project:
Option 1:
Navigate to your qbiqPlan homepage.
Select the relevant Property.
Open the specified Space.
Click + New Project.
Name the project, tap Create, and choose the program type (See below or click here).
Option 2:
In qbiqPlan, select Projects from the left sidebar.
Click + New Project, name the project, and assign it to the relevant Space.
Select the floor number from the dropdown menu. The floor plan preview will appear on the right-hand side.
Tap Create, and choose the program type (See below or click here).
Independent Project User - Projects (i.e, test-fits) are created for floor plans uploaded during submission. To create an Independent Project:
In qbiqPlan, select Projects from the left sidebar.
Click + New Project, name it, and tap Create. Once created, you’ll be guided to select a program type (See below or click here) and add all relevant details about your Space, programmatic needs, and visualization requirements.
Note:
Property Marketing Client Projects are only available as part of the Leasing Package.
Selecting a Program Type
After creating a new project, you’ll be directed to the Program Type Category screen, where you can choose the program type that best fits your project’s needs.
The ideal program depends on your starting point—whether you have a pre-designed floor plan, a detailed list of requirements, or just a general concept for the layout. The next steps will guide you through providing specific details for your project.
There are 3 different program types. Choose the one that best suits your needs:
Automatically generates the program using qbiq’s AI system.
Requires minimal input, making it ideal for projects where only a general idea of the tenant’s requirements is available.
Offers a balanced approach, combining basic inputs with options to configure key elements.
Designed for projects with specific requirements.
Allows you to select amenities, define their dimensions, and place them within the layout.
Recommended when you have a clear and well-defined set of needs.
Note: Multi-floor projects must use the Detailed program.
Focuses exclusively on 3D visualizations, providing a virtual tour and rendering images.
Best suited for pre-furnished floor plans that do not require any design modifications.
Utilize your existing floor plan to create professional visualizations.
After selecting your program type, click Next to open qbiq’s Project Wizard. Here, you can begin creating layouts and visualizations.
Notes:
The Rendering Suite has fewer steps as it skips the floor plan design phase.
In the Wizard's Visualization step, you can select a predefined theme or customize the materials for your designs.
Multi-floor projects require the Detailed program for submission.
