Accessing the Themes Feature:
In your qbiq Workspace, find the Themes button directly under the Project button on the main dashboard. This is your gateway to all theme customization tools.
Note:
In your Test Fit submission process, you'll be able to select from your existing themes, create a new one, or edit one of your themes. Keep in mind, any change applied on a theme through the submission process, will effect only that project and will NOT be permanently saved.
To start configuring a new theme, click the New Theme button. As you design, a live preview of each element appears on the right, so you can see how the space evolves with every change.
Theme Configuration Options
Before diving into specific design elements, there are a few overarching configuration options to know:
Theme Name: Choose a name that will serve as the theme's unique identifier, allowing you to distinguish it easily.
Advanced Mode: For more experienced users, Advanced Mode opens up a wider selection of materials, giving you the flexibility to make more detailed design choices.
Save Draft: If you’re still fine-tuning your theme, you can save it as a draft and revisit it later without publishing.
Save/Publish: Once your theme is complete, click Save and Publish to finalize the design and make it available for use.
Customizable Design Elements:
Ceiling: From shared to enclosed spaces, ceiling styles can add subtle or bold touches to the atmosphere. qbiq provides various designs, allowing you to match ceiling styles to the vibe of each area.
Floor: Flooring choices set the foundational look and feel for each space in the tour. Choose from different materials and finishes for both shared and enclosed areas to create the right visual and textural effect.
Reception Area: Customize the reception area’s flooring to reflect the identity and welcoming ambiance of the space, providing an inviting first impression.
Kitchen and Lounge Flooring: Select flooring that is both practical and stylish for kitchens and lounges, ensuring these areas are functional while adding visual appeal to the tour.
Accent Wall: Highlight conference rooms with an accent wall, adding distinct colors or textures to create a professional, creative, or calming environment suited for meetings.
Partition Type and Finish: Design the dividers between shared and enclosed areas by selecting partition types and finishes. Partition Type lets you choose between different walling or divider options, while Partition Finish allows you to set the color and material, though this option isn’t available if you select drywall as the partition type.
Door: Doors are a key visual element in 3D tours. Select from various door types and materials that suit the style and function of the space.
Kitchen Carpentry: Personalize kitchens by configuring elements like cabinets, handles, and countertops. You can select or deselect upper cabinets, choose between bar or integrated handles, and pick your preferred materials, colors, and designs for cabinets and countertops.
Advanced Mode: Expand Your Design Possibilities
Theme’s Advanced Mode offers more material options to enhance your designs even further. This feature unlocks additional materials, allowing for a richer design experience, to allow you to create immersive 3D tours. Advanced Mode can be especially useful when you’re working on high-end or highly customized spaces that require a specific look and feel.
Finalizing Your Theme
After configuring each element to your liking, click the Save and Publish button. This action saves your theme, making it ready for use across your projects. You can also return to edit the theme later, as qbiq allows flexibility to modify existing themes templates.
